Local educator & jazz bassist, Lesly Gourdet joins the Juddermeister to promote his Caribbean Dinner Dance to benefit Haiti on Dec. 4 at the Fry Spring Beach Club. Next we salute the passing of Coco Robicheaux known as the Louisiana Medicine Man who died last Friday, and remember r&b vocalist Lee Dorsey who passed this day in 1986; both are great New Orleans artists extraordinaire. Finally we conclude the evening’s show with three 12/1 birthday celebrations… the Doors’ drummer John Densmore (67), jazz bassist & composer Jaco Pastorius (b. 1951 d. 1987), and jazz & soul vocalist Lou Rawls (b. 1935 d. 2006).
