Induced to Judder [Playlist – 09/08/11]

New Jazz Titles (with a pop theme)/ Tribute to Wardell Quezergue “The Creole Beethoven” – First set features new jazz releases (or reissues) to the station that cover pop tunes. Then we’re going to New Orleans for a jazz funeral for the late great arranger, conductor, producer, and writer Wardell Quezergue (dubbed the Creole Beethoven by Allen Toussaint). He passed away Tuesday 9/6 at the age of 81. Our tribute will explore many of the recordings that were directly influenced by this musical genius.
